Violon Pillement
French luthier, born in Mirecourt in 1758. According to Jacquot, he married there on January 15, 1782. He is believed to have died after 1830. His work is very uneven; biographers rarely praise his instruments. However, a few good violins and cellos are known, branded “Pillement à Paris” or “Pillement père à Mirecourt.”
